itsherskill.com- Services-Based Marketplace for booking Micro-Services
ItsHerSkill.com is a fully functional service-based marketplace where the buyers can source microservices from experienced women in and around their region. Being a sister concern organization of iteherstore.com, this marketplace also operates in the GCC region and focuses on only microservices.
This marketplace focuses on buyers (looking for a service) and service providers (women who wish to utilize their skill set). This portal caters to the community of #Shepreneurs and empowers them to learn and improve their skills to deliver the best of their services.
The Challanges we had?
The client wanted a services-based marketplace solution where different service providers could register, create their profiles, and define their offered services that the buyers could avail of the listed services.
One of the biggest challenges in the solution was providing the buyer with a means to filter potential service providers based upon their location. Secondly, the revenue-generating models through which the marketplace would generate revenue. Third, the buyer can quickly search for category-specific service providers in his location and book their services based on their availability calendar.
The Resolution
Since our vision and the project requirements were clear, we found our way to deal with the challenges.
We created a hyper location-based solution that allowed the provider to define her serviceable locations. In this way, the buyer was able to filter the providers in his area, making it easier for the provider to fulfill the services effectively.
Secondly, the client wanted to have two revenue-generating streams: commissions and subscriptions, from which the service provider could choose. We created a system in which providers could choose commission or subscription after registering.
During the third challenge, we designed a module that defined provider's availability calendar. The buyer was able to book the provider's services by using her availability schedule.
