Bahrisons, a Delhi-based company, wanted to start an online book store for all the books available in their physical bookshop.
The Challenges we had?
The need was to take an existing physical book store with multiple titles available in limited supply online. They were already stocking and selling a massive list of books that were segregated according to ISBN, author, genre, and type.
It was needed to manage the shipping costs of the books in case multiple items were purchased using an algorithm so that the shipping does not come out expensive to buyers.
We needed to make it possible for buyers to place orders from anywhere in the world to be fulfilled by admin.
The Resolution
We offered a web-based application that allowed the admin to bulk upload product titles and their images directly from their admin panel to take them online.
It allowed the admin to manage the cost of shipping for local, national, and international deliveries according to the number of products purchased.
The buyers can search the products uploaded based on ISBN, Title, Author Name & Genre.
Even if the products are not in stock, the system enabled the admin to procure an order offline for delivery later.
