Studentzone is a B2C Marketplace focused only on the educational sector and is designed to keep the education-specific needs of the Students, Schools, Colleges, and other educational institutions in mind.
It focuses on creating an online platform where Educational Institutions, Publishers, Book Sellers, Stationery manufacturers, Uniform, Uniform Accessories, and other suppliers can create their online stores and list their products to sell them to a wide range of audiences.
The Challenge we had
The project’s requirement was ring-fenced around the education industry. Schools, Book Sellers, Stationery & Uniform Manufacturers/suppliers could create their mini-stores on the platform and list their products catalogs online. The students/parents can purchase the complete book sets, single books, and other education-related products based on specific schools or classes, or sellers.
The client wanted the buyer coming on the website would be able to filter & see the list of sellers/schools as per his city, followed by other sellers available in different locations.
Another challenge was to create a dedicated panel for schools. The client wanted to enroll schools in the system so as to provide transparent reporting to the same.
The Resolution
The 1st step was to create a marketplace with simple navigation and buying cycle using which the buyer/parent/student could easily find the product that he is looking for based on his school/class or local bookseller.
To counter the 2nd challenge, we created a directory for Schools & sellers, which the buyer can review on the website frontend. The directory was based on local sellers / Schools.
We created a module for 3 rd challenge that allowed the master admin to create schools and associate a user-specific catalog for products to every entity using his back-end panel. After the admin created the school’s account, the login credentials were shared with the associated user over an email to access his panel and see reporting for service level agreements to be managed.
