Buyer registration & Onboarding Validation

In a B2B marketplace, no buyer can come and place an order as in a B2C marketplace. Since the order ticket size is high as compared to the B2C segment and the taxation part is to be taken care against every order, marketplace need to verify every buyer & his business entity before allowing him to make any purchases.

Buyer registration process

A user who wishes to be a buyer on the marketplace has to register on the website. To register as a buyer, he can fill in the registration form with all the required information as marked by the admin along with his business authenticity proofs.

Onboarding team

As the buyer fills in & submits the registration form, it is sent to the onboarding team for buyer verification & approvals.
The onboarding team is assigned by the admin for the sole purpose of getting new buyer’s onboarded on the portal and for their verification purpose.
As and when the registration form is submitted by the buyer, the onboarding team gets active for his verification & due diligence. Onboarding team is authorised to approve or reject any buyer registration.

Onboarding team approvals

As the due diligence is done by the onboarding team and the business documents as provided by the buyer are verified, the buyer registration is marked as approved. Post approval, buyer received an intimation email for his successful registration post which he can browse thru the products & categories on the website and can create an order against any product.

Onboarding team rejection

On rejection of the registration form, an intimation mail is sent to the user for the same.

For the due diligence, admin can ask the seller to upload his business authenticity documents at the time of registration. The documents may include:

  • Pan Card Image
  • VAT/CST certificate image
  • Company registration certificate
  • Copy of Cancelled cheque
  • Address proof
  • Electricity bill
  • Telephone bill
  • LST Certificate
  • CST Certificate
